We understand that your trust in us is the most valuable asset the company SOLID INTERNATIONAL NV (hereinafter “SOLID”, “we” or “us”) has. Your privacy is therefore of the utmost importance to us.

 

This privacy policy (hereinafter the "Privacy Policy") applies, inter alia, to (i) our website https://www.solidintl.com (hereinafter the "Website"), (ii) visiting our premises and (iii) all (commercial) relationships between VEEPIE and its customers, prospective customers and business partners.

 

This Privacy Policy includes, inter alia, information about the personal data that SOLID collects, as well as about how SOLID uses and processes this personal data.

 

SOLID would like to point out that it strives at all times to act in compliance with the “Privacy Legislation”, namely (i) the Belgian Privacy Act of December 8, 1992 on the protection of privacy with regard to processing personal data, (ii) EU Regulation 2016/679 of April 27, 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC and (iii) (prospective) Belgian legislation regarding implementation of the Regulation mentioned above.

 

Visiting the Website, making use of the services of SOLID, subscribing to the SOLID newsletter, purchasing products, creating an account or taking out a subscription all imply your express consent to the Privacy Policy (as a result of entering your personal data or opting in) and therefore to the way SOLID collects, uses and processes your personal data.

Any other personal data voluntarily transferred to SOLID (such as in correspondence)

Also, SOLID automatically collects information anonymously relating to your use of the Website. For example, SOLID will automatically log which sections of the Website you visit, which web browser you are using and which website you were visiting when you accessed the Website. We cannot identify you personally from this data, but it allows SOLID to compile statistics regarding use of the Website.

 

How we collect personal data

Disclosing personal data to third parties

VEEPIE will not disclose your personal data to third parties, except where necessary as part of the contract and its optimization (such as but not limited to the provision of services by external service providers to SOLID, payment processing, database management). Under this, your personal data may be disclosed to software suppliers, external IT consultants, data centers and/or cloud partners, financial institutions, insurance companies, other companies within the group, other external service providers (security firms, photographers, translation agencies, partner newsletters, other marketing partners).

 

Where it is necessary for SOLID to disclose your personal data to third parties on these grounds, the third party concerned is required to use your personal data in accordance with the provisions of this Privacy Policy.

 

Notwithstanding the above, it is however possible that SOLID discloses your personal data:

 

  • To the competent authorities (i) where SOLID is obliged to do so by law or in the context of actual or prospective legal proceedings and (ii) to protect and defend SOLID’s rights.
  • Where VEEPIE or the majority of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case your personal data collected by SOLID will be part of the assets transferred.
  • In all other cases, SOLID will not sell, rent or pass on your personal data to third parties, unless it (i) has obtained your consent and (ii) has set up a data processing agreement with the relevant third party, which includes the necessary guarantees regarding confidentiality and processing your data in compliance with privacy requirements.

 

Cross-border processing of personal data

Any transfer of personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA) to someone resident or registered in a country not covered by an adequacy decision issued by the European Commission will be governed by the provisions under a data transfer agreement, which will either (i) include the standard contractual clauses as set out in the 'Decision of the European Commission of February 5, 2010 (Decision 2010/87/EC)', or (ii) provide appropriate safeguards through any other mechanism under the Privacy Legislation or any other regulations regarding the processing of personal data.

 

Storing personal data

Except where a longer retention period is required or justified (i) by law or (ii) for compliance with other regulations, SOLID will only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve and complete the purposes defined in this Privacy Statement under “III. Use of personal data” above.

 

Your rights

You have the following rights in relation to processing your personal data:

 

  • Right of access to your personal data;
  • Right to have inaccurate personal data rectified, or completed if it is incomplete;
  • Right to erasure of your personal data ('right to be forgotten') (SOLID would like to point out here that certain services can no longer be provided if you delete certain necessary personal data or ask for it to be deleted);
  • Right to restrict processing of your personal data;
  • Right to portability of your personal data;
  • Right to object to processing your personal data

Protecting your personal data

SOLID is obliged to take appropriate and reasonable physical, technical and organizational security measures with a view to preventing (i) unauthorized or unlawful access to your personal data, as well as (ii) loss, misuse or alteration of your personal data.

 

SOLID will store any personal data it has collected on-site. Backups are made by a third party (located within the EEA).

 

Despite (i) SOLID’s security policy, (ii) the checks it carries out and (iii) the actions it adopts in this context, no level of security can be guaranteed to be infallible. No method of transmission or sharing over the internet nor any means of electronic storage is 100% secure, so SOLID cannot guarantee absolute security in this regard.
