Composite Architraves (Engineered Wood)

These glued trapezoid-shaped architraves are made from engineered wood.

Engineered Wood (EW), also known as reconstituted wood, is manufactured from real wood, though not necessarily from the same species. It combines non-tropical raw materials with modern production technologies and was originally developed for decorative applications.

The result is an environmentally friendly, durable, and defect-free product that can be assembled in various lengths and shapes. Poplar logs are peeled, dried, and dyed to meet market requirements. They are then stacked and colored with soluble dye under pressure, glued, and pressed into a rectangular block before being machined into the desired profile.

Compared to solid wood, EW offers several advantages: it is defect-free, color-stable, and available in fixed lengths. Due to its engineered composition, it is far less likely to warp, twist, bend, or shrink.

The products are supplied in packs of 5 and wrapped in shrink film.

Our MDF complies with Emission Class E1, Class A.
